How to Write Your Reports Using the iReport App
Use the iReport App from your mobile device to write student reports and assessments when you have not got access to a PC.
Before you write reports, you must:
- Have the iReport App and the iTeacher App installed on your device.
- Log in to the iTeacher App for the iReport App to work as expected.
- Have an active iSAMS user account to use the iReport App. Contact the Help Desk or your iSAMS administrator if you need help with this.
- Open the iReport App:
- At the bottom of the screen tap either:

- Scroll to the report cycle that you want to work with and tap to open:
Report cycles are configured in the Reports Manager module.

Select the report type that you want to work with:

- Select the reports that you need to write:
- Depending on the report type, you may need to work through more screen selections before you can select the student that you want to work with.
- A count of reports that have already been written or are in progress are shown.

Select the student that you want to work with:
Students are colour coded indicating the status of the report:
- Green. The student report is complete.
- Blue. The student report has been started but is incomplete.
- Red. The student report has been saved as a draft.
- White. The student report has not been started.
A message is displayed on your screen stating that changes are saved automatically if you navigate away from the student report you are working in.

Tap OK on the message displayed:
The student report record is displayed:

Required fields are identified a red star.

Required fields which are incomplete are identified by a yellow icon.

Completed fields are identified by a green icon.

- Tap on a GRADING OPTIONS field and select a grade. As you make your selections you are automatically taken to the next field:
The fields available vary depending on the report template linked to the report type and report cycle.
- Work through the RESULTS, GRADEBOOK MARK and POSITION OPTIONS as required.
- Tap on a COMMENT OPTIONS field to enter a text comment in the report.
Comments must be between 150 and 250 characters. The comments screen is colour coded to help you:
- Yellow. Under the character limit.
- Green. Correct character limit.
- Red. Too many characters.
- Choose to free type in comment fields or tap in the top right to select a prewritten statement:
- Click Back in the top left once you have completed the comment.
- Scroll to the Save As field at the bottom of the screen and select whether to save the report as 'Draft', 'Complete' or 'Incomplete':

Either:
- Tap Back in the top left to go back to the student list.
- Use the up/down arrows to move to another student in the list.
Reports are saved automatically as you navigate to the next student report.

The report is displayed in the student list with the appropriate colour coding:
- Green. The student report is complete.
- Blue. The student report has been started but is incomplete.
- Red. The student report has been saved as a draft.
- White. The student report has not been started.
Assessments
- Scroll to the report cycle that you want to work with and tap to open:

- A count of assessments that have already been written or are in progress are shown.
- Use the navigation arrows at the bottom of the screen to locate the student that you want to work with:
Students are colour coded indicating the status of the report:
- Green. The student assessment is complete.
- Blue. The student assessment has been started but is incomplete.
- White. The student assessment has not been started.
- Tap on a student name to display any previously saved information for this assessment.
- Tap on a Grade field and select a grade:
